Thanks for the reply.
Basically I have my own website but nothing to import the data to. I would just like to be able to upload my flight data to my own website using a simple way of showing the flight data when I view the page.
Just knowing what script I need to connect to the database so it will write and display the flight data would be great, when Dutch is better of course.

Coding will resume on 1.5.0 soon. We definitely have plans for a PHP scripted server that will allow you to accept flight reports and do live tracking of your VA's current flights.

I am writing some pages for my VA, but the website is written using asp not php. I am using the #Answer# message to return messages for debugging purposes, but I can only see the first few characters in the VA Export page. Is there anywhere else that I can find this information, or can you make the VA Export window resizable so that I can stretch the window to see all of the text.

FSCaptain 1.00.00 has basic support for VAs: the ability to transmit flight reports in the FSPassengers format to any VA that accepts reports from FSP. I can envision far more that can be done. Right now it's a one way street: reports from the pilot to the VA. What about the other direction? FSCaptain fully supports scheduled operations. How about the VA keeping their schedule online and FSCaptain checking and automatically updating the local copy so that pilots for the airline are always flying the current schedule. What about a system for insuring that the airline being flown has the correct policies by comparing them to a standard definition kept at the VA's headquarters before official flights could be made? Even further afield...what about online dispatch services from the VA? We do far more than just submitting flight reports. With FSCaptain, you have a partner willing to listen and add enhancements that can really take advantage of the almost limitless capabilities the internet makes possible. Ideas? I'm listening. Dutch

Hi I fly with Buffalo Airways Virtual and I was just wondering someone could decipher the error code I am getting please. The PIREP exports ok but I get the following error message Flight 3417 was NOT exported; the reply was:[#Answer# xxxx;'not found]. I have used the info from the BFL CFG file for FSXPAX provided by the BFL website.
Any ideas?

Hi Pete,
Did you make sure that the export is in FSPassengers format? If yes, then the error message likely happens because of a problem with the Buffalo Airways Virtual website. It probably contains a script (PHP perhaps) that reads FSPassengers data and is slightly unusual. For instance, I once fixed that for a VA which used a different database for airport data than FSPassengers and FSCaptain.
If that is the case, then the web administrator for Buffalo Airways Virtual would be the person who can fix that. I would be willing to assist if that is welcome, but I am travelling until early May.
Best, Peter

Pete,
I'll look through the export code today and figure out what that error message means.

Hi Pete,
thanks for the information, but that's not the script, just your personal access information to submit your flights. In case you read this post before your "script" post has been deleted bu Dutch or Travis, I suggest that you remove it yourself because it could be abused.
The script that I was referring to is the program on buffaloairwaysvirtual.com that reads your data. You do likely not have access to the script, only the person who administers buffaloairwaysvirtual.com would be able to see it.
Best, Peter

Pete,
What you're seeing is - to the best of my ability to read C++ - the equivalent of placeholder text for a variable. It should never be displayed.
I would need to run a test with you VA to see what the request/response data is. If you would, please pop us an email with the name of someone at BAV whom we could contact for a test account.

Any news or progress? I posted a request on our BFL website website and forum and didn't get a response.

Hi Pete,
I haven't worked on this because I cannot do any testing at this time. However, I will be back to my FSX box next week and will have a look then.
Best., Peter
