The website www.fscaptain.net now contains FSCaptain beta version 00.07.12, and a cumulative Fixpack to upgrade any field version to 07.12. See the README.txt in each for more details. There is no Hotfix pack yet; it will appear when the first fixes to 7.12 are necessary.
There are several significant enhancements in this release:
Also a list of bugs is fixed, see the README.txt in the Cumulative Fixpack for details.
This is most probably the last Beta version before release. I plan on accumulating and fixing bugs with no more significant enhancements until after the 1.00.00 version is released for sale.
The Beta period has been extended four days to December 5, 2009.
Many thanks to all you testers!

There are several significant enhancements in this release:
- The quantity and quality of the sound environment and flight ambiance has been significantly upgraded.
- You can now display quantities on the FCOM in metric as well as English measurements. The option is in the Administrator on the Options for All Airlines tab. You can select the display parameters for five different measurements: weight, distance, speed, altitude and liquids.
- A GPWS with altitude callouts is added to the FCOM's capabilities and the option to enable it is on the Options for All Airlines: FCOM Configuration section. It is not enabled by default. If enabled it will apply to all airplanes but it can be turned off for any type of aircraft or any specific implementation of a type.
- New support for automatically sending your flight reports to a virtual airline is included in the Administrator on the Detail Log tab. The data format used is compatible with the FSPassengers format so any VA that accepts FSP flight reports should be able to automatically and seamlessly accept FSCaptain reports. The default configuration will send the reports to the FSCaptain test site which uses the standard FSP scripts. Please do not send reports to a real VA you may belong to without asking their permission first. It's likely they may never have heard of FSCaptain and may be wary of a beta program sending information into their flight record database. I plan on contacting as many VA's as possible in the next few days to start the preparation for accepting flight reports once the product is released to the public.
- Cabin emergencies: you can now be confronted with situations that develop in the passenger cabin, such as a medical emergency or smoke in the cabin.
Also a list of bugs is fixed, see the README.txt in the Cumulative Fixpack for details.
